[해석]  나무로 된 플랫폼은 위에서 겉기에 안전한 상태가 아닌 게 분명했다. 제일 바깥 부분의 판자에는 '플랫폼 위로 걷지 마시오'라고 적힌 페인트로 칠한 것을 읽을 수 있었다. 플랫폼은 걷기에 위험하지 않은 게 확실하다고 알랜은 생각했다. 하지만 제정신인 사람이라면 플랫폼 위를 자진해서 걷지는 않을 것이었다.

[정답]  (B) : [to walk on it] → [to walk on]

[해설]

'safe'와 'dangerous'는 'easy'와 마찬가지로 'easy 구문'(Easy construction)인 O-S 상승 구문에 해당한다.

To walk on the platform was not safe. → 외치 → It was not safe to walk on the platform. 

→ O-S 상승  The platform was not safe to walk on Ø.

O-S 상승 후에 흔적 자리에 대명사를 사용하면 안 된다.

To walk on the track was not dangerous. → 외치 → It was not dangerous to walk on the track. 

→ O-S 상승 The track was not dangerous to walk on Ø.

'B'는 흔적 자리에 대명사가 'it'가 있어서 틀렸고 'C'는 없어서 맞다.
