~보다 한 수 위인  : better than other people or things  ['cut'은 예컨대 두 개의 기둥의 높이를 비교할 때 같은 높이가 되려면 한 쪽을 잘라내야, 쳐내야 하는 부분을 의미한다. 'above'와 같이 쓰일 때 '한 끗발, 한 층 위'라는 의미인데 흔히 '한 수 위'의 의미로 쓰인다.]
