[해설]

A : closer still : 'still'은 비교급을 강화 수식할 때 흔히 후치 수식을 한다.

B, C : 'were to 가정법'은 흔히 실현 불가능한 가정법이라고(if the sun were to rise in the west) 하지만 본문에서처럼 '제안'을 할 때도 사용한다. 다만 귀결절은 가정법과 같은 식으로 사용한다.
