정답 - B [achieving] → [achieved] : 문 전체의 주어는 'The musician's orchestra'이고 뒤의 [, ,]를 빼고 보면 정동사가 따라야 한다. 현재 분사는 준동사여서 곤란하다. 뒤의 'made'와 등위 된 정동사인 과거형 'achieved'가 사용되어야 한다.

[해석] 그 음악가의 오케스트라는 그의 창작 곡들과 편곡한 것들을 연주하면서 훌륭한 스타일의 통합을 이루어내면서 현대 재즈의 많은 혁신을 만들어내었다.

여러 개에서 'one', 'the others'면 다 언급한 것이다. 단독으로 사용되는 'other'는 없다고 보면 된다. 최소한 'an'이나 '-s'가 붙어야 한다. 보통 물질 불가산 명사도 가산 명사화해서 예컨대 'another coffee'나 'other coffees'를 사용한다. 집합적 불가산 명사라면 예컨대 'other furniture'가 사용될 수 있다.

[해석] 과학에서 하나의 실험은 성공하든 실패하든 이론적으로 무한정 진행되는 다른 실험이 논리적으로 따를 수 있다.

니체의 원본은 'the smaller do we appear'으로 되어있지만 그럴 필요는 없다.

A, B : 'the 비교급이 하나만 나와서 곤란하다.

D : 뜻도 안 맞지만 'do we appear'로 기능사 도치를 할 이유는 없다.

E : 열등 비교면 'the less small'이면 된다. 'the *less smaller'로 일반 비교에 다시 열등 비교를 붙이면 안 된다.

[해석] 우리가 더 높이 솟아오를수록 날 수 없는 사람들에게 우리는 더 작아 보인다.
