얼굴을 찡그리다; 인상 쓰며 노라고 하다 : to put a silly or rude expression on your face, or an expression that shows you dislike someone or something ['draw a face'는 보통 '얼굴을 그리다'의 뜻이다.]

Young lady, don't you make a face at me! You will eat your broccoli or you won't have any dessert.

"어이, 어린 아가씨, 저한테 인상 쓰지 마세요. 브로콜리 먹든지 아니면 디저트는 없다."

The teacher scolded Jimmy for making faces at her from the back of class.

우울한, 슬픈 얼굴을 하다 : A facial expression denoting sadness, disappointment, or dissatisfaction

Jill had such a long face yesterday after she learned that she failed her exam.

"질은 어제 시험에 떨어진 것을 안 후에 아주 슬픈 얼굴을 했다."

Hey, kiddo, why the long face? Is something bothering you? 

"헤이, 얘야, 왜 그렇게 우울한 표정이냐? 뭐 괴로운 거 있냐?"

She seems to think one ought to draw a long face on the Sabbath.

[drawn and sad]

슬프게 일그러진 : 이 표현으론 'drawn'을 연결해서 연어로 사용한다. 영어권에서는 '긴 얼굴'은 슬픈 것을 나타낸다. 댕겨야(draw) 길어지는 거죠.

Brad's heart skipped a beat when he looked at her, even though her face was drawn and sad.
