compare [kəmpέər] : 맞먹다; 비교하다; 비유하다 : [불가산 명사] 'beyond[without, past] compare   : (L com- : with, together + par : equal → comparare → O F comparer) [ㅎ 골프에서 'par'(파)를 치면 그 홀에 맞게 친 거죠. 'peer'(동료, 동등한 사람)도 같은 어원에서]

비교할 수 없는, 유례없는 → 천하일품인  : awesome; extremely great; unequalled or peerless

[천하일품] : 세상에 비교할 만한 것이 없을 만큼 뛰어남

[셰익스피어가 사용해서 문어적인 표현이 되는데 'beyond comparison'보다 약간 더 많이 사용된다.
