겁을 먹다; 긴장하다 : to be timid; to back off from some undertaking : [이 뜻으로는 19 세기에 유래했으나 정확한 기원은 불명이라고 한다. 우리말로 '추위타다'와 비슷한 표현인데 '발발(feet) 떨다'로 기억하면 쉽다.]
