여기서 'contents'는 복수형 명사로 사용되고 있다.

[함께 들어있는(hold) 것에서, 가득 들어서 만족하는 데서, 참고로 'tenere'는 'hold'이고 'tendere'는 'stretch'로 다른 단어임을 주의하자.]

보통은 'on the one hand'를 훨씬 많이 사용되고 'side'는 게르만어 계통이지만 근자에나 독일어나 스페인어에 영향을 받아서 사용되었다고 하지만 법리를 따질 때 검사나 변호사는 'on the one side'를 사용하는 경향이 있다.
