방귀를 '자르거나, 놓거나, 찢거나, 때리거나, 내뿜는 것'은 다 마찬가지 표현이다. 전 '때리다'라는 표현을 좋아합니다.

He laid the worst fart I had ever smelled. "그는 내가 맡은 가장 끔찍한 방귀를 때렸다."

'cut the cheese'란 표현을 사용하기도 합니다. [ㅎ 치즈 자르면 구멍, 구멍에서 냄새가.]

'break wind'라는 표현도 사용하는 데 방귀 소리가 부수고 바람을 만들어 내는 거죠.

Someone passed gas right in the middle of Grandpa's story, and the whole table burst into laughter.

깜짝 놀라 다시 보다; (처음에는 영문을 모르고 있다가) 갑자기 깨닫다  : to look twice due to surprise or disbelief  [원래 1920 년 대에 감독이 녹화할 때 뭔가 잘못된 것이 있어서 다시 보는 데서(take a second look at ~) 유래해서 'double take'가 다시 찍는 것을(another shot)을 의미하게 된 데서]
