[요약의 관계적 표현]

여기서 의사의 말은 곧 'that advice'로 요약할 수 있고 다시 'which advice'로 바꾼 것이기에 이를 '요약의 관계적 표현'이라고 한다. 'which'는 명사 앞에 나오기 때문에 옛날에는 '관계 형용사'라는 용어를 사용했지만 사실 'the'를 대신해서 사용되기에 '관계 한정사'라는 표현을 쓸 수도 있다. 명칭이 통일되지 않았기에 그냥 '관계적 표현'이란 용어를 사용하고 있다.
